Heater Controls

Shocked
The heater blower is playing up on my 2005 2.0HDI desire. when turn the fan switch  fully to the left you get full blast on the fan and the same when you turn it fully to the right but nothing in between no slow speeds at all. Anyone point me to what could be causing this before i start replacing everything a bit at a time..thankyou..

If it only works on full power its usually the blower resistor pack that has failed. It probably looks something like this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEATER-BLOWER-...Sw8cNUM-i0
To get at you go up from underneath the glovebox up under the dash. The wiring unclips then the resistor pack unclips or sometimes there is a screw then you take it out.
Have a search on the forum about it there is quite a bit of info.
Are we there yet????? Huh

It could also look like this http://www.johnandchris.screaming.net/be...blower.htm you need to have a look at what type you have before ordering.

that sounds a bit more promising as it has a relay attached and i do get a relay type clicking from it when operated so its out with the screwdrivers tomorrow then to investigate..oh joy..
