Hi Everyone, I am a newbie on this forum, which looks very helpful!
I accidently posted this in the 'For Sale' forum, so reposting here...
I have just bought a 2008 XTR, which I am very happy with
Does anyone know how I can remove the official roof rails which come as standard with the vehicle?
I have rang my local Citroen services and they will charge £80 for doing the job, so I would like to try and remove them myself and save the money.
I want to install a full 'modular' type roof rack instead. These are normally installed on the vans, but I wish to install one on my XTR 'car' version.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi welcome to the forum
With roof rails, do you mean external roof rails or internal ones
Assuming external ones then there are 2 caged nuts (some have 3 those with middle post)

Hi, thanks, this is a great forum and great help. I messaged Opensauce and he explained how to do it...have now got the rails off which is great and saved me £80! Now I am going to try and fit a new roof rack : Many thanks
