how do i tell what drive shafts i need?
#1
the cv joints are knackered so im going to just replace the complete shafts but there seems to be 3 different kinds for the 2.0hdi one with 34 teeth diff side and others with 24 teeth can i tell what i need without stripping it all back?

No stripping just climb under and count the teeth, there will be a ring around the CV Joint, probably square shaped / castellated and about 4 mm thick.

Get sufficient gearbox oil to change the oil at the same time - drop the oil before removing the shafts and you won't get oil going onto your drive !!
