I had been considering All Season tyres for the Berlingo but decided to go for a set of Winters instead.
Had a set of the new updated Nexen Winguard tyres fitted (Snow G WH2) very good value imho and better than the price would suggest.
£32 a corner from Oponeo and had them fitted locally.
Very stable through standing water and not noises either.
Scored B for Wet braking and E for economy on the official tests.

Nexen? Or did you mean Nokian?
I couldn't afford Nokian, had considered their new All Season tyre called Weatherproof I think.
How have you found tread wear?

Whenever I have owned a Subaru the winters have been mild, my last Subaru got stolen and the next winter was a doozie.
I bought Winter tyres for another previous car and yet again nothing but mild winters.
So should soon be time to get the suntan lotion out.
Have done nearly 1000 miles on these tyres and to be honest I can't fault them.
They are reasonable quiet, they grip well in the wet or dry and they were cheap.
Apparently Nexen have a R&D facility in Europe and I am sure I read that either Kia or Hyundai were fitting them as OE spec tyres, though I read that online so it could have been untrue.
Money no object I would have put on Michelins, and I did exactly that some years ago with an L Plate Xantia I bought so I could run on Veg Oil.

I have some Khumo 35 M+S fitted to the front and they should be banned..
Crap in the mud, no grip in the damp, little grip in the dry....... Brilliant going through puddles though...
I had Bridgestone M+S ( can't remember the model ) on the front and they are brilliant all rounders. I have some on the rear still.
I buy tyres on line, fit them myself and get them balanced at the local tyre shop..

Now have well over 1000miles on these Nexen tyres.
Can't really fault them.
Had a few cold mornings and they car felt secure and predictable.
One thing I forgot to mention is I up sized
From 175/70/14 to 185/65/14.
And run them at 2.3 bar all round as recommended by Citreon.
As you would expect no sign of wear yet.
Suspect I will have these on for a good few months to come.
Hopefully I will have enough money saved by then to put a set of alloys on the Berlingo.
Was thinking maybe 16" wheels and keeping the winters on these black steelies.
