Berlingo breaker?
#1
Hi

wow, a forum just for Berlingo owners? FAB!!

We have a mk1 'lingo - 1.4 multispace which we need to keep on the road and which needs a bit of TLC

Anyone know who breaks Berlingos?

We need -

seat foam - I can feel current one breaking up underneath me

wipers - bit erratic, common problem?

the full-length sunroof has failed, needs replacing. Citroen want c.£1700 to do so Sad so could do with a secondhand one

front seat belt has a bit of a nick taken out of it - no idea how / when but it'll fail the mot when that comes around (and is a bit dangerous in the meantime!)

Anyway, any ideas on how to maintain our lovely Singapoean import gratefully received!

Hi James and welcome

Where are you based?

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

Maybe a thread with a detailed list and contact details would be of use. I.e...

North West

ABC Breakers - 019525 2343 424

for example.

Sounds like a great idea, would this be national u.k. or an international basis???

jamesf. We need VIN of your Bilingo to tell you numbers of spareparts.

Seat foam it's a standart problem for all old Bilingos, and as i see you have M49.
Wipers - if you have Valeo. Drop them into trash and install Champion or smth. like this
Seat belts - only replacement.

Hi all

Based in the Yorkshire Dales

Seat foam - assumed it was a fairly 'common' part, just need to find somewhere with one in stock!

Wipers - sorry, not explained myself very well, the motor itself seems jiggered not the blades. Unless you meant the motor too in which case I apologise!! I'll have a look and see if I can spot which make of motor it is over the weekend

VIN - same thing, will unearth it over the next couple of days.

mmm, fitting 2nd hand seat belts not usually a good idea, but you never know someone may have a good one (would need to be green to match existing of course!)
