Engine oil change: done it a  dozen times before - could do it in my sleep.

Gear oil change: to my shame Ive never done it so at 66k it was time.
Got the oil at the keenest price currently from opie, the plug washers from ebay and an elephant syringe from temu.-absolute godsend , not sure if I could have managed without it.
The old oil was almost as black as the engine oil but the tips of the plugs were reasonably clean so I dont think there was significant sludge.
Im surprised how thin 75/80 is compared with the old ep80 that was in the rear axle and gearbox of my old escort -doesnt stink so bad either

Havent taken the car beyond the end of the street yet but the gearchange is noticeably slicker
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
