Eating Bulbs

My 09 Mulitspace seems to be getting through bulbs at an alarming rate. This is includes brake lights headlights, sidelights. One a week seems to be the norm at the moment.  Living in South Yorkshire the roads are not the best and potholes are plentiful leading to many a bumpy ride. Also I must admit to succumbing to bouts of good old Yorkshire thrift and buying bulb packs from Aldi etc.
Could it be the cheaper bulbs that are letting me down or the state of the roads? 
Any input would be gratefully received

It has been my experience with bulbs, both in the house or in the car, that real cheapo models have a shortened life span.

We have had many problems with this in the workshop, and have stopped using the cheap bulbs available, (most garages use them).
We only buy Osram now & the difference is massive, they last much longer.
