Remote problem BSI reset!!!
Sad Hi I am new to this forum and to Berlingo's, So hello everybody really enjoying driving my Berlingo (love it [Image: smile.png] ) , I have 4 friend's who all own and drive them, so I bought one a 2003 2.0 ltr HDI Forte, I have one problem with it, read all the info about  very similar problems but not exactly the same ,so here goes :

Key remote button was broken so replaced it new battery and cover even soldered the button's on, went through all the resetting sequences found on line and here, Good news is it all works as it should for about 5 minutes or less then nothing, button on dash works fine and i know it all works as it should but it just doe's not stay working for more than a few minutes [Image: sad.png]  any help or ideas would be really helpful? cheers Lee
Are you saying that you leave the car locked for 5 minutes and then it unlocks itself?

2012 Iron Grey XTR 110 with lots of bits and bobs.

The car locks with the remote as it should once i've reset it, but come out 5 minutes later not working?
Thanks Lee
will only work with remote or a few minutes after i've reset it,after it just goes back to not working again!
I'll try and explain it more clearly:
once I have reset the key fob remote the key fob remote will work open close lock unlock flashing lights etc as it should, my problem is that it does not stay working after a few minutes if i press the remote again it does not work open or close again even though it did for a few minutes after i reset it. (so I know it must all work because it did even though it was for a few minutes so the question i suppose is why is it not staying reset and continue working?
I hope I have explained it better.
That is strange when you say reset the fob how do you do that.
Are we there yet????? Huh
Ex 1.6hdi van now 3 seater 1.4 multispace
I followed a few online programs IE as follows
Put the driver's window down, lift the bonnet and ensure all equipment is switched off.
Ensure all doors are closed and remove key from the ignition.
Wait for 3 minutes, disconnect the vehicle battery and wait 15 seconds.
Reconnect the vehicle battery, wait a further 10 seconds (do not open doors.).
Switch on the side lights through the driver's window.
Switch on the ignition and check system's functionality.
Hold lock button on key down for 10 seconds.
Remove key open & close door test central locking system.
Start the engine and complete the system's check.

I see you are doing a BSI reset I thought you were doing something to the remote. It sounds like the BSi is switching off the central locking function for some reason. Your best bet is getting the motor plugged into Citroen Lexia diagnostic equipment it should bring up the fault. There may be a member on here who could help or have a look on frenchcarforum for a member near you.
