Are you saying that you leave the car locked for 5 minutes and then it unlocks itself?

I'll try and explain it more clearly:
once I have reset the key fob remote the key fob remote will work open close lock unlock flashing lights etc as it should, my problem is that it does not stay working after a few minutes if i press the remote again it does not work open or close again even though it did for a few minutes after i reset it. (so I know it must all work because it did even though it was for a few minutes so the question i suppose is why is it not staying reset and continue working?
I hope I have explained it better.

I see you are doing a BSI reset I thought you were doing something to the remote. It sounds like the BSi is switching off the central locking function for some reason. Your best bet is getting the motor plugged into Citroen Lexia diagnostic equipment it should bring up the fault. There may be a member on here who could help or have a look on frenchcarforum for a member near you.
