Wiring for Hazard Lights
#1
Hi All,
Does anyone know which connector connects to the hazard light switch??
My berlingo is '08 1.4i no a/c or central locking.......
So i have 3 connectors which all fit the hazard switch.....Brown (6 wire ) Black (4 Wire) or Green (4 wire)??
A brown 6 wire was connected when i bought it ... but hazards werent working....
As previous owner has had the heater matrix replaced i believe console was put back together in a hurry and incorrect wires put into hazard switch.....
MY hazard switch only has 4 pins so i assume the black or green connector should be connected to it.......
Any help much appreciated as i dont want to cross any wrong circuits with the hazard switch and create new problems.....
Wire diagrams or wire  numbers also much appreciated!!!!!

Thanks

Hi Carman without stripping my car out according to the Haynes manual there are 3 wires going to the switch. The wiring is not colour coded you need to look on each wire for a number.
Pin 6 = wire numbered 232
Pin 1 = wire numbered 230
Pin 3 = wire numbered M230 this is the earth.
Hope this helps.
Are we there yet????? Huh

HI Tomcat3
Thanks very much for the info ...... much appreciated.
I was struggling to read those numbers on the wires.....and then........

It turns out Citreon/PSA have kindly made this  issue very easy to sort out .....
After days of looking up berlngo dash images i realized each switch has a different colour plastic molded on the back of it... And each connector block is molded from the same plastic......

SO A/C = brown orange moldings
Hazard Lights = black moldings
De-mister = white moldings
Central locking =  green moldings

I missed this because i only removed the hazard light switch (black)  and i dont have cental locking or A/C....
My berlingo is a  08/ 58 plate older model berlingo. Im not sure how far back this colour coding goes
but i hope this helps someone else in a jam someday!!!!!!!!!
