[Brakes] front Caliper piston and seal renewal

Hi guys

Has any done this before on here? I have a 2.0 HDI Berlingo Van 2006.

I had no problems  getting the piston  out with air. Problem im having  is getting new dust boot in which is really a tight fit and will not press in by hand... is it ok to tap it in? Also whats the best way to get the piston back in too?

Ther is no procedure  in citroen servicebox for this repair...

Any help from you guys is much appreciated.

Ideally red brake grease is ideal for the job. However, normal brake fluid will help you to get it in. Ensure finger are clean, put fluid around the seal and around the piston where it first meats the seal.

Thanks mate. Im getting some red rubber grease to try that. Think im going to put the rubber boot dust seal onto the piston first so its in position then seat it into te caliper. I already have the inner seal in place, that was easy.
