2005 Berlingo Multispace - double din?

Hi,

I've lurked for a while and google has failed me I'm afraid.


Can anyone tell me if it's possible to fit a double din unit in this? An associate claims that the plastic centre section (housing the head unit, vents etc) can be swapped out easily with the same parts from a newer berlingo, moving the heated window switch etc don creating space for a double. Is this correct?
