headlight removal ??
#1
Need to get the nearside light out as the wire clips bent to hell after having a bulb changed at halfords,it was raining and i didnt want to get wet with 300 miles to drive home, plus I know it's a prat to change, anyway, the bulbs not sitting right and the wires bent out of position somehow, does the bumper have to come off for light removal ?? if so it's a bull bar off job :-(

Think it is a bumper off job, that's what you get when computers rather than engineers design cars. I struggled with the passenger side on mine and remember realising that it wasn't a five minute job to remove the light unit.

Time for a mirror, a torch and plenty of loose change for the swear-box, have fun.

I've removed the nearside light without removing the bumper before now. I can't remember how I did it though. I'll have a play later when I've had a kip. Just finished a night shift.

thank you sir,any advice appreciated, tried to get the local Halfords to sort it,but it was a branch near Exeter that fitted the bulb they wouldn't entertain it,I'm not getting flashed for dazzling people,But I can see the light further to the left and up slightly so I'm not that desperate to chuck garage money at it :-) ..cheers,Ian.

Looks like I have a condensation problem in my N/S headlamp. It does seem to clear when I do a long journey but is soon back again after sitting for a day or so in the current damp weather, so I'd like remove it for a look.
There's a post in the solved section about removing a couple of screws behind the wheel arch cover, just wondered if anyone has more advice about removal & also likely cause of the condensation?
Here's the other post I found:

Thanks

I havent done one on the Berlingo but i have read your link and it sounds pretty fiddly but certainly doable.

The misting is usually a split or crack somewhere in the headlight - i have drilled small vent holes in other headlights before with good results.
