cambelt snapped
#1
Hi guys, my mrs has a 52 plate 1.9 hdi multispace. Anyway a month ago she was driving and the cam belt snapped, she then tried to restart it after it had stalled and has mashed the cylinder head. The question is we need a new cyinder head, does anyone know what the part number is? is it the dw8?

bare with me, I know a guy in scotland who works at a firm that refurbs cylinder heads, I'll just ask him on another forum I use.

Have you taken the cam cover off yet? You might be lucky, my friend had the belt snap on his Berlingo van and i took the cam cover off and his had broke the cam bearings. We went to scrap yard and got some new ones, fitted a new belt and the van is still running now.

i hate cam belts but i bet the damage was done instantly not due to turning over
so dont be too harsh on her lol , i had one go and ever since ive always get on top of them before i did not bother .

can you not phone citroen up and give them reg number and get them to find part number for you (just a thought).
