B9 SERVICE CHECK LIST
#1
Hi all

is there an "official" PSA list of things to check/replace/service at appropriate interval (age/millage) that can be used for performing a DIY service that a member can share

Asking the question as there is a list both for the interim and full service on the M59 but cant find anything for the B9

Thanks in advance

It's all in the 'Maintenance and Warranty Guide' that you should have had with the car, but it's not very clear as the guide is referring to all models not just your own and you have to sift through it all

For my 2010 1.6HDi XTR 110hp, this is what mine says if I'm reading it correctly

oil and Filter - 12500 miles
diesel filter - 37000 miles or if car has FAP then 25000 miles or 2 years
air filter - 37500 miles
replace brake fluid - every 2 years
pollen filter - 12500 or 2 years
check engine coolant - 75000 miles or 4 years and then at every service
timing belt - 140000 miles or 10 years
particle filter - check at 100000 miles
particle filter level - check level from 50000 miles

Thanks for your feedback

Went through the whole owner manual and could not see anything.....

What I was looking for is information such as gearbox, axle oil change intervals/levels etc (See attached by way of an example for the M59)

Is it me or there aren’t as much information on the B9 as opposed to the older models?

The details are not in the User handbook, they are in the other book that holds the service history stamps from dealers etc

From what I can see, there is no service interval for the gearbox oil etc, so I can only assume that once filled from the factory, the original oil will stay until there is a clutch change or another operation where the gearbox has to be disconnected from the engine. This I assume is because the oil has to be drained before the gearbox is disconnected due to oil leakage etc.
