Just signed up and saying hello to everyone
#1
Alreet lads n lasses!! Propper noob here... Just signed up today and wanted to say a fond hello!

Been wanting to get a Berlingo for a while and finally got round to doing so back in Jan.... nowt flash.. somethin cheap and cheerfull from gumtree.
2004 Desire model. absolutely love it! a massive step up from the ford ka i had. its a propper big lads motor!!
However, I only had it on the road a month and one night some kid decided it was my motor he wanted to swerve into hahaha... of course a write off... Confused so i bought her back at scrap value and am on slowly trying to rebuild her back end as it were now that i have a bit time on me hands.
Looking forward to the day I can get her back on the road and go fishing or something.

Anyways I stumbled across the forum and thought I'd sign up and say hello to you all.

needless to say I'll probably be bombarding you all with questions REAL soon heh heh heh

cheers!

Tex

Hello Tex and welcome !

A write off in the right circumstances can be a good thing ..... a few years ago now I bought the boy a VW Polo for £800 at auction and four years later it was rear ended / written off ... he received £1400 and the repairs cost me a few hours and about £90 in s/h parts ...... two years later a police car rear ended him and he had another write off and a further £800 with about the same repair costs .... ah write offs... happy days ... sometimes .

Thanks for the welcome lads! Much appreciated!!

Aye Geoff totally agree with you there mate! Basically got a motor for nothing after their insurance paid out. Despite the inconvenience of it all, the kid did me a favour. Happy days!

The second hand light cluster from eBay came this morning which has spurred me on a bit. Looking forward to making a start and getting me hands dirty.got alot of hammering out to do first though.
