I have a question on this part what does it do ? I am looking to fit a boost gauge but don't want to tap into the manifold any info would be great thanks.

It monitors the inlet manifold vacuum and then varies the turbo boost in response to pressure detected ( I believe ).

Tap into manifold. You could cause problems trying to connect to that solonoid.
Why do you need a boost gauge?

You would know if the turbo was faulty.
Because of the sensitive nature of the controls and sensors, it would be foolish to try and vacuum tap off of the boost control solonoid (or whatever Citroen like to call it) You are likely to screw up it's proper function. You would be better taking a tap off the manifold away from all sother components. Personally, I would'nt bother. It's hardly a race car.
