B9 Washer motor

Hi all,

The washer motor on my Berlingo appears to be faulty, I've managed to get my hand into the front of the drivers side wing and get the wiring connector off of the motor and tested the 12v supply to the motor , which goes from 0 to 12v when the switch is operated so I've concluded the motor is not working.
Does anyone know how to replace the washer motor ? While I can get to the wires I don't think I could remove the motor/pump the same way.
All info most welcome.

Best approach is to remove the wheel arch liner, so removal of the o/s/f wheel is the best way.
Once this is off, you will be able to see what is required much easier. The motor is pushed into the water bottle , there is a rubber grommet in the bottle to seal it in.
A gentle pull or tweak with a flat screwdriver should coax the old pump out, followed by a few litres of water usually, so prepare to get wet.
A smear of washing up liquid on the new pump will get it to slide into the grommet easily, then swap your pipes & wiring connector.

Yes its behind the arch liner and easy to do.

Hi Guys,

Finally the sun shines and I have time to replace the washer pump / motor, wheel removed jacked up and most of the inner arch fittings removed, then I discover a inspection hatch in the bottom at the front of the arch liner, at this point the motor is off and I continue the job, but I'm pretty sure the inspection hatch is there to access the washer motor without removing the wheel or the arch liner !
So if anyone else is undertaking this job it might be worth checking if your arch liner has the inspection hatch !
The job was as easy as previously described and I'm thankful for the input and advice given.
