Hi all, got home early and thought I"d fit new CV boots to O/S drive shaft before I fit new assembled strut, got the two 11mm nuts slackened off and heads turned out of way but shaft would not budge, sprayed bearing/interior housing tapped it from diff side no movement, heated and sprayed some more, no joy as bearing is proper seized in alloy housing, Cup of tea had a thought , I have a mini breaker for removing tiles so I found a long masonry bit ground off tip and tried it , well easy slowly turning shaft and giving a light blast I watched as the shaft with bearing slowly came free , and yes I did drain gearbox oil first!, PS the bearing is dead also so will replace as have one 6006rs I think, anyway cheapo breakers cost very little and may come in handy for various hammering/drift work so no more hit knuckles for me, bye for now.
