Blower transistor comand module
#1
My ventilation motor only works on the highest speed and the Air conditioning is not activated on this setting.
The a/c is turned on and it seems to work on the lower speeds, but the blower engine doesn´t work on this setting.
A bit confusing, but it´s th best I could explain.
I think the resistor or transistor ou eletronic comand module (diferent names for the same part I guess) needs to be replaced.
I´ve been told to look for the part 644178, but it brings to parts that fit to diferent car models.
What reference should I be looking for?

Berlingo 1.6 HDI 90hp 2010

Thanks for any help available

Same part can be fitted to many car models. And it usually is.
Every manufacturer uses it's part number.

The best way is to remove yours and buy the same on ebay.

I was trying to find a match for this part number without having it dismounted - of course the reason for this is not having the blower out of order while I wait for the shipping of the part and havind double the trouble on the removing process...by the way...is it to difficult to remove or it´s made to be easy as changing the ventilation motor?
I already burned 1 motor vent...and now this resistor... in 6 years?? don´t understand what am i doing wrong. Might it be because i use the blower to much? To hot? Car enigmas

I might go on intervention today...

Cheers and drives

.pdf   resistor.pdf (Size: 555.38 KB / Downloads: 20)

Part nº 648055

Price new original part: 75eur

Posible solution - 0,50cents: repair the small resistor welded onto the 2 tips on the part (far end of the green stuff as the previou photo shows)

It seems there are two different things that can go wrong on the blower motors: the transistors and a thermal resistor. Video on the transistors: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X5Y-66cYSA

latest on resistor/reasistor problems is here, this thread.

About the video I posted, just click the link?

Cheers.
