About once a year....
#1
.....my Berlingo does this weird thing. At first it sounds a bit like there's a motorbike behind, gradually getting louder. If you continue, the engine loses power (I only had this happen once, the first time it did it). Now I know to pull over, turn the engine off, re-start and it's fine. I think it's putting too much fuel through (1.9 deisel, 02 style but first reg. march 03). Anyone else had this happen?

When I got it, it had been a motability car and was 3 years old, fsh,and in good order. The first time it did it, I'd only had it a couple of weeks, I didn't know what was going on (but it was under warranty so I didn't worry too much) and it was not a pleasant experience!

No, but I dare bet that the dealer charged you for diagnostic checks even if No Fault Found ???

How often is it happening? More than once a year or so? As turning the engine off seems to revert it to normal, I wouldn't expect the dealer to be able to find a fault. Only way would be if you happened to be driving past the dealership when the car was doing it!
Glad it's not just me, sort of! Sorry it's happening to you too.

my 2001 1.9d dw8b does this, i believe its something to do with the electronic pump timing, turning it off and then back on resets the solenoid/relay and its ok again, i read it on a web site somewhere
