Anybody help me out with eml ?? 2.0 hdi berlingo
#1
Ok so I have a 2.0 berlingo multispace ,
I've had the we van for a about 5 months now with no problems what so ever ,
i got it remapped from 90bhp to 125bhp when I first got it and it's been fine the whole 5 months I've owned it ,
Today I noticed that it went into limp mode for about 5 seconds after the traffic lights went green then it came out off it back to normal , then a couple minutes later the eml light came on but there was no limp mode ,
I got to the shops after shutting engine off and going to do a bit of shopping , hopped into van started engine , no eml and no limp mode , , all is back to normal ,

why did this happen today so I can get the problem fixed so it doesn't happen again ???

Thanks In advance

Did you floor it when the lights went green? are all the filters new and clean? could be any number of things it may be worth connecting it to lexia software to see if any codes stored to point you in the right direction.
Are we there yet????? Huh

No never floored it just went as normal no filters arnt new , tbh I've never serviced the we van as all was done when i bought it and I've still a free thousand miles to go before another service , do u think it's something silly like a dirty sensor / connection somewhere

Call me a cynical old git but I always check filters and service items when I get a motor or its serviced as ive lost count of the times all they do is change the oil if you are lucky or the dealer claims it was done recently. It could be a sensor or it could be dirty filters it could be any number of things. If it is working ok now keep an eye on it and if or when it does it again make a note of what you were doing and what happened.

you need to get a diag done - could be many things but would be just guessing.
