Engine hasitation between 1200 - 1500 RPM

Hi,

I have berlingo with WJZ engine (diesel) with lucas ve fuel pump R8445B350B. 
The engine performance are great but when i very litle push my foot on the gas peddle 
the engine gets hessitation + drops white smoke at the back.

This happend to me on the street when i try to drive slow
or in a traffic jam.

On a freeway no problem at all.

The engine and the pump has been recentrly replaced.
The are from wrecked car that drove around 50K miles.

I think this problem is related to computer calibration or Injection adjance by crankshaft speed.
How to work it out ?

I suspect your trouble at low speed is caused by the EGR valve and a build up of carbon in the system.

If it were me I'd disable the EGR ....... an easy job.

Remove the air intake ducts and also the EGR valve, give them all a good clean to remove any build up of oil and carbon.
Now find the two rubber vacuum lines leading to it and plug them so the valve can no longer operate ( it will now stay closed ).
Finally put it all back together.

Hopefully all will now be good.

Also try using injector cleaner in the fuel.
