2003 1.9 Berlingo van
#1
So I'm new to the forum and I just recently bought a 2003 1.9 Berlingo van for €600. There is no tax and test up on it and no shortage of jobs to do but it's a good honest van under it all.

First job I did last week was give it a service. Oil (castrol 5W30 fully synthetic),Oil filter, air filter, Coolant change, Clutch&Brake fluid, and injector cleaner.

Last week I also replaced the radio which was not working properly with a blaupunkt one I got for free off one of my mates at work!

Yesterday I decided to attack the brakes as they were an absolute mess!! So I took the calipers off, rebuilt them, painted them, replaced the discs and the pads, replaced the rear brake shoes, adjusted the cables, cleaned up the drums with a grinder and painted them. Also gave the towbar a lick of paint.

Replaced the number plates with new ones and changed the parking lights and number plates lights with LED's.

It's going well so far but loads more jobs yet to do including:

Replace bonnet (dented + lacquer peeling)
Replace alloy wheels (horribly corroded + Pitted)
Clean up inside back of van
Sand down roof rack and repaint
Full buff and compound

P.S plenty of pics to add but when I try to attach files it says size too big, any help putting these up is greatly appreciated!!

Hi Darren, good start to your project, look forward to reading your progress.

With regards to iPhone photos, a quick way to reduce their file size without using an editing app is this: go into the Photos app on your iPhone home screen, tap Select at the top of the screen and then tap on a photo you wish to select so it is 'ticked'. Then tap the share button at the bottom of the screen ( looks like a box with an arrow pointing upwards. Select to share via email and address it to your email address. When you press send you are given the option to keep the photos their actual size or to make them smaller (options are small medium or large - medium should do it. Then when you receive the email you can save the picture to you photos app, and use it for uploading to your post. I think you can select up to 5 or 6 photos to the email at a time.
