Can anyone tell me that when I sleep in a second gen Berlingo wit a tailgate awning, if I leave the tailgate open, will the battery go flat?
I spent some time with the tailgate open today and the fed battery on the dash began to flash and Eco mode was on the central screen. Does this shut down after a while or will it flash all night.
Would be grateful for any advice.

Eco mode is designed to avoid the battery going flat. It switches off things like the radio & internal lights.
I think you are OK leaving the tailgate open while sleeping.
Out of interest what tailgate awning are you using?
I brought a Sunncamp Silhouette 225 awning & the connecting sleeve isn't long enough to fully cover the tailgate of the new Berlingo.
I use an Amdro Boot Jump in my Berlingo. As many others have said, an excellent piece of kit.

About to use the boot jump tent for the first time. A little concerned about water ingress down the roof channels if it rains. Time will tell!

You've probably found out by now... But yes it's fine to do that. Never had any problem in four years but it does go into Eco mode which is a bit alarming at first. As for water it runs round the car and drips off underneath so it's fine if you fold any groundsheet back so there's a gap under the car - otherwise it'll pool on the groundsheet.
