2007 Berlingo van - larger wheels
#1
I'd like larger wheels on my van. R14 175/65 feels inadequate for a heavy diesel engine and I see other makes of small van with much more sturdy tyres.

What size wheels could I fit with confidence? Thanks.  Idea

P.S. I don't want alloy wheels  Smile

16" steelies are fine, coupe steelies actually look cool and are very strong too, 16x7 et12 from memory, look up v6 partner on here and my van had them on Smile

It does look good, thanks. I can imagine my tyres with your V6 engine sitting on them - apply the brakes and the poor things would explode. I'll try some wider wheels off eBay - there's always bargains as people convert to alloy wheels. Thanks again.

Your van looked spot on, and the price of the 3008 coupe wheels at thirty six quid a corner seems a bargain

It did OK off the lights Wink as for the original poster, your rims and tyres have a higher load rating than a bigger wheel and lower profile tyre combination, look at your average lorry, do they run big rims and low profile tyres? Good for thought! My van never carried owt and weighed 1220kg with half a tank of fuel, so load rating wasn't a priority if I'm honest! Speed rating was however lol
