Gates are V Good so good choice, recently bought a Gates " kit " for my 1.6Hdi for £78 so £210 is shockingly cheap ...

There are no bad quality kits on the market unless you buy a Chinese copy, which would be reasonably unlikely, unless using eBay etc.
All the known brands ie Gates , Dayco, continental , S.K.F, I.N.A are built to the same standard as the manufacturer.
Water pumps however are not , and I have had lots of motor factor type replacement ones that start to leak after a year or two.
£210 inc parts & vat is too cheap realistically. A decent kit & waterpump is going to cost about £90 + vat, the car will require some fresh coolant as well, + a new auxiliary belt really, so they are working very cheaply.

My local specialist charges £35 an hour and did me a timing belt, tensioner and waterpump for £210 all in. I think that was a fair price and I watched him do it.

Less than an hour!

An hour would be quick and well worth paying for instead of faffing around yourself for hours outside with the chance of it pissing rain 1/2 way through!
