What Engine Fits My 2007 Berlingo 1.6Hdi

Hi folks

I have a 2007 berlingo with a blown head gasket!! As soon as you start Van it pressurises!! so im taking it to be quite bad!! Was just wondering does anyone know if the 2.0 Hdi engine was to fit?? and if a 1.6 out of other vehicle eould fit ok???

Off hand I'd say replacing the head gasket would be easier than swapping the engine out. Doubt the 2.0 would fit without some serious mods.

Fitting an old 2 litre motor would not be that straightforward. The ECU, BSI and fuel injection systems would all be different as would fitting a 1.6l from a different make of vehicle although a Peugeot Partner 1.6l may be compatible.
I think I'd get the head gasket done. A lot less hassle unless you want to be scratching your head for the next few months wondering why seemingly unrelated things don't seem to be working right.cratch:
