Just saying....

14 months and 14,000 miles now and just back from another 2,500 mile trip to Spain makes me wonder why these type of cars aren't more popular (then I remember that style and image is more important to some folks Wink  )

Cheap to buy and run. Comfortable and fast enough for 8 hours on the motorway but still perfectly reasonable on twisty roads. Flexible and practical. Huge amount of luggage space (and not forgetting all those clever little shelves and hidden compartments) amazes everyone we give a lift to.

Getting the grandson's child seat in and out is so easy with the sliding door giving so much access and elderly parents can just step in.

No regrets.

Just saying  Smile

People with common sense buy a Berlingo people who need to prove something buy a BMW or Audi.

Ive had many Citroens and they have all been great and everytime ive been seduced by something else im disappointed - last time it was a Ford Mondeo what i pile of sh1t that was.

I've recently completed a trip to the black sea and back with a bit of a tour on each leg, around 4500 miles in total, I even took it to the top of the gross glockner in Austria with 3 passengers fully loaded with a fully loaded roof box ! The car was faultless I topped up a 1/4 litre of engine oil in Bulgaria before the return.
To say I'm impressed is a understatement, my car is a 08 b9 1.6hdi with 110000 miles on it and it drives beautifully
The car is mainly used by my wife who loves it and I don't blame her !

the wifes car is a 02 1.9d berlingo,  daughter stole her previous, a s reg peugeot 306 1.9d, youngest son has a 97 306 td,   there all basically the same base vehicle with different tin work.  son was offered the berlingo but refused it as its not cool.  had he taken it wed have bought another for the wife.
for day to day practicality the berlingo concept is just better than your standard  5 door hatch.
we use the berlingo as a van when its more conveinient than the lwb transit or the fourtrak and trailer.

wouldnt be the first time ive been to the local auction with the transit, then rung the mrs to bring the berlingo cos all the bargains just wont all fit in.
