Hiya all...
Does it matter whether the clutch fitted is different to the clutch removed ? I am just asking because I want to replace the clutch in the van I have just bought from the Borg n Beck that has been fitted to the proper LUK or Valeo or whatever it should be and a decent brand.. I have been reading that Borg n Beck have gone down hill over the last 5- 10 years or so and the bite point on the clutch pedal is close to the floor..
I was told the clutch was replaced because the thrust bearing was noisy, The van is a 2005 1.9d with 60k on the clock..
Is there a difference between LIK, Valeo or any other ? I have fitted a QnH to my 'Lingo and the clutch was so aggressive the car was undrivable so I had to remove it and fit a LUK which is a massive improvement..
Basically are LUK and Valeo interchangeable ?
