Central Locking

When i press the lock button on my key to  lock the van it keeps locking then instantly pops back up open again .any ideas

That happens if all of the doors aren't shut properly but I guess you've made sure they are closed.

I have had the same happen on a Xsara and it turned out to be a broken wire where the wiring comes in at the hinge area of the door, the break was at the back of the multi plug.

It could also be a sticking locking unit (the power lock) in one of the doors, even a sticking linkage.

As you tell it to lock the locking unit senses resistance and pops back open.

Try removing the door cards and lubing the linkage and the lock barrels.
