Hi just got myself a vtr on a 12 plate was wondering if the centre storage box of the xtr will fit my car and how would i fit it is it simple plz help

yes it does, it is a clip on affair with the pull clip on the bottom at the back which fits into the existing fitting on your XTR
 
I did the same as what you are considering
 
probably best place to get them is breaker yards, had a look on flea bay and there are a couple asking for £85 but TBH the condition did not look fitting for the price
