Hi my wife has a six year old 2.0HDi berlingo. She recently complained that she was having to top up the coolant water. Anyway I had a look under the bonnet today and discovered that the bleed nipple had been broken off the thermostat housing (loose engine cover probably, also needs sorting). Struggling today to find a replacement. Question is, can the car still be driven until it's sorted? Don't really fancy having her putting her two dogs in my motor so she can take them to the local quagmire to romp around. Thanks in anticipation.

Pk is right, you don't want to be driving with no coolant. Couldn't you botch it temporarily?
Good luck finding one, best place would be a scrap yard, not sure where you are from but there is a great one near the Manchestester City Stadium. I find more details if its of any use.

Temp bodge with a screw and some waterproof, heat-resistant sealant. Will run it tomorrow to see if it works. The world should be back to normal tomorrow so hopefully I can track down a replacement.
Nowhere near Manchester. Large scrapyard near to me with some berlingo's clearly visible, but I'd still need new gaskets surely?
