[Engine] 2004 2.0HDi Cruise Control - Lexia or Diagbox?
#1
Sorry for yet another CC thread, I've read most, if not all of them here and on other forums and I'm about to try & fit CC to my '04 2.0  This is my first 'modern' Citroen, and my first look at Diagbox / Lexia so I'm really in the dark about how best to proceed.

Everything I've read indicates that it'll work on a M59 2.0 HDI, so it's just a question of the best way to go about it.

It has the radio remote buttons on the steering column so Com2000 is installed
I've bought a CC stalk, just waiting for it to arrive.
I checked and there's a switch on the clutch pedal
From what I understand, there's only 1 switch on the brake pedal on these models so that's there.

I have an offer from a Pug owner to use his Diagbox 7.62 to configure things, and here's where the uncertainty starts:

According to a guide kindly written on this forum, the way to do things via Diagbox, but it's for a B9 as opposed to my M59, so is the procedure the same, or do I need to drop down into Lexia and make the changes in the 2(?) locations I've read about elsewhere.

Many thanks.

Lexia i used on older cars like yours.
Diagbox is used on new cars starting from 2009-2010
Find on forum tutorial for Lexia and if you have problems shout.

Thanks for the offer of help brajomobil, I found the following thread and it look like what I need for Lexia.

As I've never used Lexia or Diagbox, I'm not sure if / how Diagbox will start up Lexia once it knows about the age of my car. The Diagbox I'll be using is owned by a Pug owner so I doubt very much that  he will be either.

Program reads car VIN number and determines what to
start: Diagbox or Lexia

All done today without a hitch, the Pug owner kindly connected his Diagbox laptop and all was well following the instructions in the post linked below. Only slight moment of uncertainty was when Lexia threw up an info screen about not recognising the Injection ECU, but after accepting the message all went well.
