Radio change
So I have the bog standard radio in my 13 plate Citroen berlingo and I wanna put a new stereo in it but I still wanna use the CD player can anyone suggest a radio I can buy with minimal messing about and sort of go straight in? Preferably from halfords but I have no idea just wanna know the name of what I need and what's compatible preferably the cheapest aswell ? Thanks ?
Thumbs Up
I was thinking of doing the same thing, new stereo with Bluetooth NFC for connecting my phone for music etc, and DAB radio
But the menu button is integrated in the in built radio so was wondering how does that work if I put in a fancy pants new stereo?
Check with your dealer, some of the newer radio head units have bluetooth fitted but not enabled, I recently had the misfortune of buying a 2009 C4 Picasso, fitted with a usb box from new but it had never been activated through LEXIA neither had the bluetooth.... That said 2 weeks after the dealer activated them the BSI/ECU died, and then the replacement unit died as well....

Returned it to the dealer and bought my Bingo, much better car all round.

I think Bluetooth was a tick-box option on these for a number of years. My 64-reg was the last of the orange-screen stereos before they went over to the touchscreen ones. My XTR had Bluetooth, but I think the VTR didn't but had the same stereo. I'd definitely look into what Peter Guy says, as it's very likely that there's not much involved in enabling or fitting the Bluetooth option - then you get the best of all worlds.

The factory Bluetooth option also includes a USB socket on the dash below it, but it's possible that you can still have Bluetooth without this.

I would add that the factory-fitted Bluetooth is great. I use mine to stream music from my phone, together with voice instructions from the sat nav app on the same phone. If a call comes in the music stops and I can press the stalk button to answer it. I can also make outgoing calls with the same stalk. It's as good as you'd get on any car.
