Oil Light on / Pressure Strange

Hello, 1st post wondering if you can help me out please,

Recently bought a 2008 Citroen berlingo 1.6 Hdi, only 49,000 miles and getting a strange problem...
I'm getting the red oil light on dash and BEEP/STOP message.

This is only occuring when going around in a circle at 10mph (full lock on steering wheel, left or right). It does not happen when vehicle is idle when I fully lock the steering wheel.
Its not happening under normal cornering either........

Either this is normal, as I presume going around in circles isnt normal driving hence why the warning comes on after this procedure.... (my theory being centrifugal force playing tricks with the oil level sensor, but I could be wrong!)

but spoke to a mechanic mate reckons its not normal and you should be able to go around in circles all day and light should not come on he reckons.... And also reckons engine will cease if the problem is not found and dealt with as the matter is a oil pressure problem.

So I've carried out the following myself hoping to narrow down the problem.... ( i know some parts are irrelevant)
Fresh oil 5w40
Bosch Oil filter (yes correct installation),
air filter,
re-sealed sump as it was leaking, pickup was clean as a whistle
new oil pressure switch.
removed mesh filter from turbo oil return

have disconnected oil level switch, still gettting the red light on donut procedure, however not sure if this is a the correct way of testing.

alternator whining a bit, some guy on the net had same problem (but not the driving in circles bit lol) reckons changing the alternator cured his red light problem,

just a strange one, engine running great and going well just this random light problem, anyone got any ideas on the cause?

Well you have done all the basics i was going to suggest so fair play to you, all that is left is a diag as it sounds like you may have an electrical issue. The other thing is to get the oil pressure checked as it could be the pump.

The oil you have used has now been superseded to 5w30 low saps but dont worry until your next service, the 5w40 will be fine for now.

Hi all, thanks for the replies!

@brodfather11, yes brake fluid on max,

@polar, thanks, could be electrical, have tried a cheap code reader and did get one code (manufacture control, glow plug related I think, but its now cleared... I know cheap readers dont pick up some codes so will see if I can get a copy of Lexia.

@John555 good point, spoke to another mech and he said what you said, he reckons its normal too

forgot to say I did use TRIPLE QX 5w30 Fully Synthetic (Low Saps C2) Engine Oil 5Ltr :-D
