[Engine] Can with a 2nd hand bsi ?

Does anyone know if I can use a ecu/ bsi / transponder from a car with the same engine ie 1.6 16v petrol then change the settings with pp to enable such as aircon and electric Windows I'm really struggling to find the same ecu and bsi. The car been dead for two week now and it's killing me.

Not sure If I understand your question.

To start the car you have to mach ECU ,BSI, KEY .

You can enable aircon in Lexia or PP if the car doesn't physically have it installed.
BSI will report error because there is no response from sensors and compressor.

I know what you mean but your taking a risk with the ecu being wrong for your exact engine, this will throw in all kind of errors, can you read the old bsi as it's not just two settings you need to write, more like 100, if there not right you risk damaging various parts of the vehicle... for example deadlocking programmed as being there without deadlocking latches will fry the latches...
