Has anyone got the lower (alloy) rocker cover for a 1.9d DW8b WJY engine with a slot for a gasket. ?.
The one on mine has been off and on many times and the threads in the fixing for the upper cover are knackered . Temp fixed but could really do with another on as I think the alloy is porous and leaks oil down the back of the engine. It just wont seal, maybe warped or something.
The present one does not have a gasket so am going to try one with.
Tried the local breakers but they are not keen on removing one from a complete engine , I need someone with a knackered engine who is willing to sell me one.
Ebay do not have any from the UK , some in Germany but postage is the same as the cost of the cover . When really desperate I will buy from Germany but there will no guarantee it is any better.
