Rear brakes have developed a squeak. Not when applied but when driving. It's noticeable at low speed. Apply brakes & squeak stops. It's been like this for several months & about 6k miles. Car, 09 reg is on 80k miles & rear pads have never been changed. Would this be caliper seizing up I wonder, or might I get away with just new pads at next service due in Feb? Pads are only about half worn. Front discs/pads were changed at around 50k miles.

It might just be the disc edge catching. They get a lip when they wear a bit. Get your grinder and take the lip off see if that does anything for it.
So where does this bit go then ?

Cheers for that. Cit garage will probably want to fit new discs/pads at next service witch is better than new caliper.

Ron. FYI
Copaslip is old hat now. Ceramic grease is the way to go. Copper grease contains metal and It was found that galvanic corrosion was occuring on aluminium calipers. It can also interfere with abs.
