Saying Hello!
#1
Hi All,

Just Introducing myself to the forum after purchasing a 2009 Multispace VT 1.6 HDI which is loaded up and ready to go as my Windsurfing/Surf bus. I'm on the look out for one of the internal roof bars (my version only has one set of mounts, I think it is the VTR that has two?) so I can wedge one of my smaller boards in the roof space so if anyone knows of one going 'cheap' then please get in touch! Cheers, Julian.

Hi Julian, good to have you onboard.. You can make your own internal roof bar using 2 bolt eyes that slot into the area and thread a tie down strap through the eyes.

Fully adustable for height - I bought the eyes online from ships chandlers..

Good luck with the Multispace, I`m currently making mine into an `occasional ` camper..

Nick.

Hi Nick, was put off by the dealer price for new and nothing on the 'bay etc so great minds thinking alike I went to the builders merchants at the weekend and fashioned the same as a temporary solution! [Image: b82f9cd2cb26a465231a002515742357.jpg][Image: f35e6d36259ea6049537c2a14e609bdd.jpg]
Thing is I'm a bit concerned that my insurance company might classify this as a mod? They were fine with me removing the larger back seat (straightforward) but as for explaining that I've fashioned an internal rail blah blah...

As the original fixing points are standard, would not think insurance company would see it as a mod. Its surprising what you can support between there and the front shelf !

Have fun..

You could be right. The improvised version will do for now, will still look out for the genuine article if the price is right..
