2.0 hdi oil change miles / effects of old oil
#31
here's the thing.. i live in rural spain. local citroen garage is reknowned as being run by a complete a-hole.

example... i went in asking the price of a 2nd hand berlingo in showroom (they don't put prices on cars in spain, you have to ask)... when told the price, i responded, hmm, that's a bit too much for me.. i was expecting some 'make me an offer' spiel... he turned awy from me, went back in his office and shut the door in my face!

i know of people who have taken their citroens there for diag when mil light on, been charged 50 euros and then been told diag showed no problems. and they just replace parts until car works again, the customer paying for a load of parts not necessarily needed!

local garages here are poor, my friend had a timing belt go on her car, garage 'repaired' it but forgot to put oil in and hadn't test driven it anyway.. she collected it and drove it a few miles before it died, no suprise, garage now refusing to accept responsibilty. it'a a different world here!

it cannot be software or it wouldn't work on the fiat and it's not a connector problem as my 100 quid reader connects ok to my blingo but only has basic function, no live data.

i think i can answer the standard it was built to though.. my reader has choice of berlingo or berlingo m59, which is my model.. but will only work with berlingo, not m59 so i can only assume it was bulit at end of mk1 and beginning of mk2. cheers!

That's unfortunate and shows that you can get rubbish service just about anywhere. Your garage experiences are somewhat different from my friend's in Antequera. Admittedly his garage was a SEAT dealer for a SEAT car but worlds apart from what you've had.
I don't know what software you're using, but the Berlingos use various protocols between the adaptor & car so thought that maybe your software may not support the particular protocol. The following link might be of interest>
