Good evening everybody I hope you are all well
I have myself a little 02 Partner and by god do I love her dearly but Dorris has a bit of a problem with arthritis in her wee locking system.
The locks work as such you can hear it clunking into life when you push the button.
From the outside if you pull either the driver or passenger doors it's not a problem she's as solid as a rock but if you pull the handle of the side door or the rear door it unlocks the entire van.
I have done some googlying and haven't found a solution and hoping someone could possibly assist here.
Thank you all in advance
Daniel & Dorris

maybe a bsi reset to reboot the computer would help
but id be inclined to just disconnect the wiring to the rear doorlocks to isolate them from the cenral locking system and stop them inerferring with the other doors and use the key.

I thought of that but there is no keyhole in my side doors so they would not be usable.

Hello everybody I finally found a solution to my problem.
It required a bit wd40 and skinny fingers.
In the mechanism there is a white latch that when the inside handle is pushed down it loses the mechanism to open the door and on top of that there is a little what looks like a brass plate that when the outside handle is pulled it pushes down on the mechanism to open the door.
There is a cable that runs from the brass piece that sets tension or what ever it's purpose is. The cable has a screw piece that needed to be unwound as it was putting alot of pressure on the mechanism so that the actuator could not move the part away so it was no longer operational from the outside.
It probably makes no sense I have some pictures but no idea how to upload them (I'm getting old haha) but if anyone has this issue I can try assist in some way.
Thanks to everyone for their help though.
Regards
Daniel
