[Steering & Suspension] Bottom Ball joint

Hi, I've just noticed the  bottom ball joint is on the way out on my 2010 XTR. Does anyone out there have some info on how to replace it. Have been around cars most of my working life, but never had to replace this type before. I can see they are easy enough to obtain. Just don't want to commit myself to fitting it over the weekend if its going to turn nasty.

They can be really tight and sometimes the hub assembly has to be removed and put in a vice to get enough swing on the ball joint.

Thanks, I had guessed as much. I really don't have the time, or want the hassle involved with taking the hub off etc. 
Am hoping my friendly local Polish mech can help me out now, he has a proper workshop. 
I've had enough of scrabbling about under motors! ( EX- car mechanic!)

Nope, for my sins, I've already booked myself up at Xmas to change the suspension on my car- an Alfa, I'm just a glutten for punishment.
