Reverse parking sensors

Want to fit parking sensors to rear of my 2007 berlingo, have looked on ebay there are some kits that attach the live wire to reverse light power feed.
Has any one fitted such sensors as I am bit wary of the berlingos multiplex wiring.

On mine I fitted a reverse camera. Just solderd it to the reverse light. Works just fine.

On mine I fitted a reverse camera. Just solderd it to the reverse light. Works just fine.

I'm going to dispel any rumours! There is no multiplex wiring anywhere near the reverse light! There is a load test performed which tests the bulb and associated wiring but it's not multiplexed in any way! Just tag it in and use the reverse light feed direct, I've never had an issue with any set of reversing sensors I've fitted to any car of any age...

The so called canbus relays are so named as it's card with canbus architecture that generally have bulb checking facility's and so one tends to go hand in hand with the other, again there is no canbus signals or wiring to the back lights at all, hope this helps

Well you learn something everyday. 
My authoritative comment came from personal experience of fitting towbar wiring to my Peugeot 407.  Came with a bypass relay to get a feed from all of the rear lights.
Does this mean the likes of Towsure, PF JOnes etc. are unnecessarily providing bypass relays with their wiring kits for canbus/multiplex vehicles?

the multiplex towbar relay is just 7 or 8 relays in one package. with some lectronics to sort out the signals on shared wires in the cars loom.   for reverse sensors you would only need a standard single relay to take a signal from the reversing light itself..
