Airbag Wiring
#1
. Hi All,
I have the airbag light on in the Partner van ( 2002 m59 ), it started as an intermittent fault but is now permanent. I suspect a wiring / connection problem, the under seat connections are soldered joints done before I got the van.
I've seem posts relating to similar problems caused by the red and white twisted pair from the engine bay fuse box.
I can meter continuity on the red wire between the engine bay fuse box plug and the airbag ecu plug, but the white wire is open circuit.
Anybody know if this is correct ?
Everything else is ok, the only problem is the airbag light.

Cheers,
Dave.

All sorted, it was an open circuit wire between the body and engine fuse boxes. I couldn't see a break, but rewired it and all tested ok.

And it's only taken all day!

Obviously as you didn't get any replies your problem and how to repair it was unknown to the most of us.

Thanks

No problem, I hope it helps. I wouldn't have been able to find it had someone not posted a circuit diagram on here. So thanks to them too.

Cheers, all.
