Which Car Survey 2017
#1
Every year Which publishes a car survey and every year the Berlingo ends up nowhere so why not tell them what we think?  Smile

I just clicked the link, looked at it & I can't be arsed to spend the required 20mins doing this survey. Why? because I'm not angry with my car. It has done what I've wanted it to do for the past 8yrs/80k miles with mostly just an annual service at my Cit garage. If it had been rubbish then I might have wanted to vent & been angry enough to do a survey to try to tell the world not to buy this pile of crap. It's been ok but then so it should be ok. If you buy a car it should be ok. It's not something to get excited about & start doing surveys.

Which is why car surveys are worthless inmo. I recall the Which survey of people carriers a few yrs ago. It put Seat Alambra, Ford Galaxy & VW Sharan near top middle & bottom of survey & at the time the 3 cars all came from the same factory production line with only the badges & trim being different. I bet Berlingo & Teepee would come at different places in any survey as well.

Before i retired i was a transport engineer but started off life on the tools working for Ford, Iveco and ERF. You get to know the common problems vehicles have when you are in the trade but I have read the Which Guide to vehicle reliability many times and found the results to be fantasy.

Ive seen many journalists destroy a vehicles reputation because their vehicle had one odd ball fault - then other lazy journalists copy and paste this opinion when they do a vehicle write up.

The best way (although not full proof E.G. 1,6hdi turbos always go bang lol) is to use the internet but you need to take time and have enough intelligence to remove the BS from the facts even then. People still ask me for advice now even though i have been retired for 4 years now and if i have one more person say to me 1.6hdi destroy turbos ill scream!
