Hello jj9, I found it, exactly where you said it was, I'll never doubt you again sir, I've only had Berlingo just over 12 months and this is the first problem I've had, thanks again, photo was a great help.

What I'm after now is Part number for Timing Belt cover, it didn't have a cover on when I bought it.

Fitted new crankshaft sensor, so far no problems. Thanks to all. I will keep you updated.

What was the problem that caused you to change the sensor as you don't say in the thread?

The problem was, misfiring, cutting out, no engine warning light and not showing any fault codes on diagnostics. In another thread Col said the crankshaft sensor sometimes doesn't show any fault code and suggested I fit a new one, so far so good, thanks Col and jj9 for all your help.
