The Crankshaft sensor is fitted behind the Crankshaft pulley on the 1.6HDI engine.  Huh

On my 2006 Hdi 1.6 there is a crank sensor adjacent to the crankshaft pulley - I removed / refitted it when doing the timing belt a few months back so can say it is there with confidence ...............................

Every diagram I've ever seen of the 1.6 HDI shows the Crankshaft sensor behind the pulley.
