I have noticed there is a rattle coming from the engine are when you blip the throttle at around 1200-1400 rpm,
above and below that rev range there is no noise ,
I have had the vehicle for a few weeks and it has 60000 on the clock,
oil level is good and there is no consumption of oil. I cant locate where the noise is coming from.

It's impossible to guess where your rattle is from , but has the cambelt been changed, 60 K is about all these will do & the water pumps fail regularly at about the same time.
Engine wise they are pretty reliable .

i checked under bonnet today,it was the pipe from the airbox that goes to the front of the car above the radiator,it had come apart ,
the pipe looks like it is supposed to be two pieces lengthways with plastic clips hooks that hold it together,i cable tied it and the rattle has disappeared.
