Intermittent no engine turnover 2006 HDI
#1
Rainbow
Hi everybody,
I wonder if anyone can help.
My Berlingo has an intermittent non-starter issue.
Just get a tiny click sound when key is turned to the start
position. Leave it overnight and it sometimes starts the next
day having done nothing to it. When it does start, if you turn it
off and immediately try again it won't start. i have a new battery.
I was wondering if it could be the engine immobiliser, and maybe the
key fob needing a new CR2016 battery. I have read another post that
seemed to suggest that new starter motor brushes were needed.
If I could find the starter motor I could investigate that possibility.
Thanks everybody
Stephen

Do the simple things first and make sure all your wires are connected tight and securely. Same problem on my mates car and it was a unsecured earth at fault!!!
