cold start
#1
Hi all,

Has there been any development in the cold start issues with the 2.0hdi.Struggleing to start when cold.

fully charged battery,2 new glowplugs, power at tip of plugs,no air in fuel system, new filter, starter off cleaned and greased.80k miles so clearances are ok no misfires, runs like a champ.

But still almost flattens the battery churning over on a cold morning..

What to do next ???

Thanks for any input

Yes a common cure !!

Lorraine I see you have a 2.0 Litre engine so a starter should cure you, the thread you replied to earlier where valve clearances are the issue - cam out etc - is for the 1.9D engine so don't confuse yourself there the engine is totally different !!!
